Skylon Overview
Skylon takes its name from the original iconic structure that was built for the 1951 Festival of Britain. Situated in the Royal Festival Hall, it overlooks the river on the re-energised South Bank.
Centred around a raised bar serving classic and contemporary cocktails, Skylon features a Restaurant and less formal Grill. The Restaurant features Helena Puolakka's modern European menu with dishes such as wild garlic and potato soup, steamed seabass and dark chocolate mousse, whilst the Grill offers a selection of lighter dishes such as smoked duck salad and squid stew.
Skylon was voted by Time Out as London's Best Designed Restaurant of 2008. Its interior echoes the 1950s style of the Royal Festival Hall with contemporary touches added, such as bespoke chandeliers and surfaces of bronze, walnut and slate.
